Teresa Lynn Macko

Teresa Lynn Macko, age 68 of Pocono Lake Pa passed away on January 25, 2022 in Abington Memorial Hospital.  Terry was born in Saint Catherine’s Hospital, East Chicago, Indiana to John R. Macko and Eleanor Agnes Macko (nee Kennedy).

She lived with her sister, Geralynn (Gerry), in Jenkintown, Pa during the last 15 months of her life.  She wanted to go home to Arrowhead Lake, but her illness prevented her living alone.  

Her love of the Arrowhead Lake community and her cherished friendships were kept close to her heart.  She loved walking her dog, Danny Boy and visiting with her special friends.

Tell me, what does it look like in heaven? Is it peaceful? Is it free like they say?

Does the sun shine bright forever? Have your fears and your pain gone away?

'Cause here on Earth it feels like everything good is missing since you left

And here on Earth, everything's different.  There's an emptiness…

Terry attended Bishop Noll High School in Hammond Indiana and graduated in 1971 from Munster High School where she fell in love with computer programming.  She applied her passion at Purdue University and became a Software Engineer.  Her love of programming followed her into retirement as she studied the human program of how our feelings and fears are demonstrated in our lives.

Excelling in sports came easily to Terry in her youth.  After school and on weekends she found playing Football with the neighborhood boys much more entertaining than playing house with the girls.  In 7th and 8th grade she was a star forward in girls Basketball.  She took pride in playing 1st base in Softball and like her father was an excellent in Bowler.

She was an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears always true to her roots.   

So, tell me, what do you do up in Heaven? Are your days filled with love and light? Is there music? Is there art and adventure? Tell me are you happy? Are you more alive?

'Cause here on Earth it feels like everything Good is missing since you left and here on Earth, everything's different.  There's an emptiness…

Terry loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace surrounded by light, love and the laughter of all her relatives, ancestors and friends who passed before her.  Terry was cremated in Pa and will be buried in the family plot in Memory Lane Memorial Cemetery, Schererville, Pa sometime May 2022.

I hope you're dancing in the sky, and I hope you're singing in the angel's choir.  I hope the angels know what they have.   I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived
