Shirley Danford Price age 87 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away Friday March 17, 2023, at Naamans Creek Country Manor.
Shirley was born May 9, 1935, in Abingdon, VA to the late Clark and Grace Price. He was the brother of ten siblings, two surviving sisters Christine Garrett and Nancy (Dale) Stark. Shirley resided 45 years in Garnet Valley. He leaves behind his wife Margaret Price, three children Brenda (Donald), Daniel, and Janice (Steve) along with his grandchildren Steven, Ryan, Katelyn, Brittany, and great grandchildren Brayden, Mason, and Cole. Shirley served as an active-duty member of the Navy from 1955-1959. He went on to work at DuPont Experimental Station for 32 years as a Laboratory Technician before retiring and working at Shipley Manor for 15 years as a security professional.
Outside of work Shirley enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and taking walks, especially with his great grandchildren.
