Obituary

Louise Chevoor was born Kathryn Louise Baur on April 8, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her father, Eugene, was their church organist and her mother, Freda, was an artist. She inherited her parents creative flare and love of music. Louise was proud of growing up in the Pittsburgh area where she attended The Ellis School and later graduated from Linden Hall in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

In 1954 Louise met Paul Chevoor at a church function, and they were married on September 22,1956. A few days before her passing, they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Louise and Paul built a home together in a quaint neighborhood of Wallingford, PA, a special place for their three children to grow up. In the mid-70's they moved to Birmingham, Michigan where Louise again created a warm, beautiful home. She was involved in community groups including serving as president of the Garden Club. She also enjoyed antiquing, cruises, caramel corn at the Jersey Shore and over 25 years wintering in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Louise dearly loved time with her children and grandchildren both near and far and frequent visits from her granddogs. She was thankful for the support of her family and several special companions who cared for her through difficult later years.

Louise is survived by her husband Paul, children Charlie, Kathy, David (Donna) and Grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Luke, Gemma, Gabriel. Proceeded in death by her brother Gene Baur, and sister -in -laws Peggy, Christine and brother-in law-Peter.

Her family will have a tribute celebration of Louise's life at a later date. Her love, strength and humor will be greatly missed. Donations can be made to The American Breast Cancer Society (Making Strides of Greater Philadelphia) or Bright Focus Foundation for Alzheimer's research.
