Obituary

Justin Robert Friedman, 34, passed away suddenly on November 22, 2024. He was the beloved son of Cherie Friedman (nee Gabe) and the late Robert Friedman. Justin is survived by his three brothers, Julian, Chase, and Preston Friedman; his maternal grandmother, Marie Licciardello Riggs; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Friedman; and his grandfather, Allan Friedman, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A devoted son, brother, and friend, Justin had a heart as big as his laugh. He was a fierce protector of everyone and everything he loved, known for his loyalty, generosity, and bravery. His sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him, and his warmth and kindness will be remembered forever by his friends, family, and everyone lucky enough to have crossed his path.

Justins passion for life was matched only by his love for ice hockey, which he began playing in club travel at age five with the Quakers. His dedication and leadership on and off the ice were evident as he served as captain of both Sun Valley Middle School and West Chester East High School teams. A proud alumni of Valley Forge Military Academy and College, Class of 2008, Justin earned the esteemed Silver Sword Award and forged lifelong bonds with his fellow cadets, a brotherhood he treasured deeply.

His enormous smile mixed with his brilliant sky-blue eyes, infectious laughter, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Justin was laid to rest next to his father on December 13, 2024, at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, surrounded by family and his closest loving friends. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
