Our Beloved Son, Father and Brother, Jevon Monteigh Corpening, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Monday, November 30th, 2020 at the age of 49 years old.  He was born on Monday, November 22, 1971 in Statesville, NC to the parents of Jacqueline Corpening and Randolph Scott.  He graduated from the Job Corp program in Philadelphia and went on to work in several different areas of trade during his life. Although he never married, he was a loving and warm-hearted son, father and brother, survived by his 2 parents, Jackie and Randolph, 2 sons, Monteigh and Jevon, a daughter Tiarra, brother and sister, Claude and Dominique, niece and nephew, Sheldon Jr and Nicole and a host of cousins and friends. He was also a GRANDFATHER TO BE.

Jevon was a funny, light-hearted and gentle soul that loved to fish, go out to eat and spend time with his family.  Although life was complicated for him at times, he never let it affect how often he would call and "check up" on his family.  His passing has left a hole in our hearts that only time and GOD will heal, however his family finds peace knowing that he is now resting safe and well.

Due to Covid Restrictions, a private sunset memorial service, arranged by Shaeff-Myers funeral home, will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 5:15 to 7:15 PM.  For those unable to attend, please join us in Special Remembrance in the form of 10 minutes of prayer and absolute silence to occur between 5:40 and 5:50 PM.
