Augustus “Gus, Gussy” Dieciedue, born November 11, 1946, to Augustus and Carmella (Cavalier) Dieciedue, passed away on December 22, 2025. A graduate of the Bishop Kenrick High School Class of 1964, Gus spent his formative years as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, Texas Hold 'Em, and motorcycles. As Bender from Futurama would say, “I’ll make my own theme park with blackjack and… forget the theme park.” Anyone who met Gus knew his sense of humor; he was always telling jokes, performing card tricks, or trying to make people laugh. While he could be irritating as heck at times, he was a kind dude.
Gus is survived by his brother, Anthony Dieciedue of Royersford, PA, and was predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Joseph Dieciedue. He is also survived by two daughters, Lori Ann Somers of PA and Heather Cronin of FL, as well as additional children discovered through DNA sites, adding to his legendary status. He leaves behind six grandchildren—Nicole, Katrina, Clinton, Sara, Connor, and Saoirse—and was predeceased by his grandson, Dakota. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren—Willow, Gia, and Via—and several nieces and a nephew.
Gus did not wish to have a viewing, believing that people should visit one another while they are still living. He was a religious man, I kid you not, read his Bible faithfully. A brief graveside service will be held on February 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, 175 W. DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA, where he will be interred with his brother, Joseph.
