It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother  Aida Luz Ayala. She was born Aida Luz Matos Ramirez in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on December 25, 1945. Her parents were Joselin Matos Pabon and Bernardina (Digna) Ramirez Santiago. She was the eldest of two children and survived by her brother Joselin Matos Santiago.

She met the love of her life Ramon Luis Ayala Diaz (who has preceded her in death) at El Balneario de Boqueron while on vacation in 1962. It was as Papi said "Love at first sight". Papi moved to New York and they were married in 1963. They welcomed two daughters Frances (1963) and Verushka (1970).

Her life was full of adventures that took her to New York, Puerto Rico, Florida Mexico, Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Jamaica. She loved music, dancing, and cooking (She was a wonderful cook) for family and friends.

She is survived by her loving daughters Frances Morales, Verushka Greta Parker (Jeffrey), her grandchildren Adrian (Ana), Dennis (Crystal) and Christopher Morales, Donovan and Rossi Wilkins, Adil Garay, Jeffery Jr., Jayla, Jordan and Janeer Parker and her great-grandchildren Eli, Leilani, Nathalia, Zelda and Antonio Morales.

As per her wishes there will only be a private memorial with her immediate family. We ask that you please respect the family's privacy.
