Virginia Ruth Laudeman “Ginny” (Freese), of Harleysville and a former resident of West Norriton, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was 96 years old. Born November 15, 1927, in West Point, PA, she was the daughter of late Lloyd and Ruth (Diehl) Freese, and the beloved wife of the late Vernon C. Laudeman, Sr.
Virginia was a 1945 graduate of Lansdale High School. Upon graduation, she worked at various restaurants in Wildwood, NJ. While working in Wildwood, she met her beloved husband, Bud. After they were married, Ginny worked in the meat department of the A&P. After raising her children, she ran the cafeteria at Henkels & McCoy, where Bud was employed as an accountant. When they retired, they spent a lot of time traveling through Europe and renting a condo every September, for the month, in Ocean City, NJ. They also enjoyed listening to music and loved dancing, especially the Jitter Bug. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend.
Virginia is survived by her two children, Patricia Welsh, and Vernon C. Laudeman, Jr. (Imelda), 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Helen Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Virginia Laudeman’ s Life Celebration on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10am to 1pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 2211 Mainland Road, Harleysville, PA. Services to begin at 11am.
